Cupcake Carnations

Materials needed:

• 8 x cupcake holders
• Pipe-cleaner (green)
• Stapler
• Scissors

Approximate time required:
10 minutes

Instructions:

1. Fold the cupcake holders in half, three times! Repeat for all 8 holders.

2. Staple 4 pieces together at the bottom. Make sure all the holders are facing the same direction. (Have all the "open" ends facing the same way.) You will have two separate units now.




3. Pull apart both sections as shown below. Make sure the sides with the openings are facing out.

4. Place pipe-cleaner as shown and twist bottom to secure.



Pull open the cupcake holders until desired effect. You may choose to use scissors to cut the tips slightly to create more of a "petal" effect, but this may be harder for younger children.
